Bocchi the Rock! Movie Part 2 with New Songs – Hey, anime fans. Remember Bocchi the Rock!? Well, they’ve made two movies that recap the TV show, and the second one just came out in Japan on August 9, 2024. But that’s not all, they’ve got some cool new music for us too.
The movie has two special songs. The opening song is called “Doppelganger.” If you watched the TV anime show, you might remember this was the third song the band played at their first concert, but we never got to hear it. Now we can.
The ending song is called “Re:Re:.” It’s a cover of a song by a real Japanese rock band called Asian Kung-Fu Generation. In the movie, Hitori Goto (the main character) sings it.
Good news. You can listen to both songs right now on music streaming apps. If you like CDs, there’s a new mini-album coming out on August 14 with all four theme songs from both recap movies.
What’s Bocchi the Rock! About?
If you’re new to Bocchi the Rock!, It’s about a super shy girl named Hitori Goto (nicknamed “Bocchi”). She loves playing guitar but has trouble making friends. She practices a ton and becomes good, even posting videos online as “Guitar Hero.” But she still can’t find people to be in a band with her. Then one day, she meets Nijika, a drummer, and her life starts to change.
Where Can We Watch It?
The original TV show aired from October to December 2022. If you’re in North America, Crunchyroll says they’re planning to bring both recap movies to theatres there too.
So whether you’re a big Bocchi the Rock! fan or just love music and anime, there’s a lot to look forward to. Get ready to rock out with Bocchi and her friends all over again.
