Following the recent announcement that Hiroaki Hirata (the voice of Sanji in One Piece) will play the lead role of Beryl Gardinant, a new character has been introduced. Nao Toyama, known for her role as High Elf Archer in GOBLIN SLAYER, will voice Allucia Citrus, a powerful knight commander from the Liberion Order.
Production Team Behind the Series
The anime is based on the popular light novels written by Shigeru Sagasaki and Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. Directed by Akio Kazumi, who is known for Loner Life in Another World, the series will be brought to life by studios Passione and Hayabusa Film.
Kunihiko Okada, the scriptwriter behind The Eminence in Shadow, will handle the series composition. Satsuki Hayasaki is in charge of character design and animation direction, and Yasuharu Takanashi, known for his work on Fairy Tail, will compose the music.
A Humble Instructor Thrust into Adventure
The story follows Beryl Gardinant, a humble sword instructor living in a quiet rural village. Once, Beryl dreamed of becoming a famous swordsman, but now, as an older man, he has settled into a peaceful life. Everything changes when a former student brings him shocking news: Beryl has been selected as a special instructor for the Knights of the Liberion Order.
Suddenly, Beryl is whisked away to the capital, where he reconnects with students he once trained. These students have become elite knights, top wizards, and even high-ranking adventurers. Despite their great achievements, they still seek his guidance. Beryl is unsure why they need him, but he’ll do his best to live up to the role.

Although Beryl thinks he’s no longer needed, his former students believe otherwise.
