Origins of the Anime
Delico’s Nursery is an original anime based on the TRUMP stage play series created by Kenichi Suemitsu, which has been performed since 2009. The TV adaptation is directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori, known for his work on A Certain Magical Index, and is produced by the animation studio J.C. Staff.
The anime first premiered in Japan on August 7, 2024, and the first six episodes are currently available on Crunchyroll for viewers across North America, Europe, Asia, and other regions.
Story Overview
The series follows Dali Delico, a noble Vamp from the Delico family and a high-ranking member of the Blood Pact Council. When Dali refuses an important mission from the council, three other members that are Gerhard, Dino, and Henrique visit him to convince him to accept the task.
To their surprise, they find Dali caring for a baby. Meanwhile, mysterious murders are targeting the Vamps, and a group called Pendulum is suspected to be behind the killings. Dali’s connection to the Pendulum adds tension as he struggles to balance his duties and his new responsibility of raising a child.
The show presents a unique blend of gothic elements, mystery, and parenting drama, set in a world filled with noble vampires and dark secrets.
