She also brought to life characters like Kaho Mizuki in Cardcaptor Sakura and Kushina Uzumaki in Naruto. Shinohara even voiced Eri Ochiai in the anime film Perfect Blue.

Emi Shinohara was born on August 8, 1963, in Fukushima prefecture. She grew up in Nagano and always had a passion for acting. She studied music at the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo, hoping it would help her acting career. While Shinohara is best known for her anime roles, she also worked in dubbing foreign films into Japanese. Her notable works include dubbing The Wizard of Oz, Clueless, Nikita, and Home Alone. She even voiced the Bakuryuu Pteranodon in the Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger series.
