Orb: On the Movements of the Earth Anime Drops Main Trailer – Hey there anime fans, the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Uoto’s historical manga, Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, is set to premiere on October 5, 2024.
The official website released the main trailer, confirming that the first two episodes will air back-to-back on NHK General TV in Japan. Fans worldwide can also stream the series on Netflix after each episode airs.
Music and Voice Cast Revealed
The trailer features the anime’s opening theme song, Kaiju by Sakanaction, and the ending theme, Aporia by Yorushika. Additionally, the soundtrack is composed by Kensuke Ushio, known for his work on Chainsaw Man.
The voice cast includes Maaya Sakamoto as the main character Rafal, Kenjiro Tsuda as Nobak, and Show Hayami as Hubert. Three new cast members were also announced: Katsuyuki Konishi as Oczy, Yuichi Nakamura as Badeni, and Saya Hitomi as Jolenta.

Story Overview
The anime is based on Uoto’s manga, which was serialized from September 2020 to April 2022 in Weekly Big Comic Spirits. Set in 15th-century Europe, the story follows Rafal, a young scholar who values reason and discovers that the Earth orbits the Sun.
This revelation lands him in trouble with the Inquisition. Years later, two members of the Watch Guild find Rafal’s hidden documents, containing dangerous knowledge about the universe. They face a tough choice, sell the heretical information or risk being burned at the stake.
With its gripping storyline and rich historical setting, Orb: On the Movements of the Earth promises to be an exciting watch.
