Dragon Ball Daima TV Anime Premieres October 11 with Extended First Episode – Hey there, fans of the Dragon Ball series have something exciting to look forward to this October. Japanese broadcaster Fuji TV has announced the official start date for the new TV anime series, Dragon Ball Daima.
The show is set to premiere on October 11, with an extended first episode lasting 40 minutes. This new series follows Dragon Ball Super, which has been a huge hit among fans of the franchise.
Change in Broadcast Schedule
Unlike the previous Dragon Ball series, which aired on Sunday mornings, Dragon Ball Daima will be shown in a brand new time slot on Friday nights at 11:40 PM. This schedule change was explained by Yuichi Nakajima, the head of programming at Fuji TV.
He mentioned that the new Friday night slot will allow the show to be broadcast all across Japan, making it easier for the target audience to watch. The Sunday morning slot, used for earlier series like Dragon Ball Kai and Dragon Ball Super, wasn’t available in all regions of Japan, limiting its accessibility.
Behind the Scenes: The Creative Team
Dragon Ball Daima is directed by Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki, with the series composition written by Yuko Kakihara. The character designs are done by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, bringing the characters to life with a fresh yet familiar look.
The late Akira Toriyama, the legendary manga creator behind the Dragon Ball franchise, created the original story and character designs. His influence continues to shape the series, ensuring that Dragon Ball Daima stays true to the spirit of the original.
A Special Preview Event
Before the official TV premiere, fans in Japan will get a special treat. The first episode of Dragon Ball Daima will be shown at an event called Daimatsuri on October 6. This preview will give fans an early look at what to expect from the new series.
Dragon Ball’s Ongoing Legacy
Dragon Ball Daima is the latest addition to the Dragon Ball universe, following the success of Dragon Ball Super and several anime films, including the recent 2022 movie Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO. For those who want to catch up on previous Dragon Ball series, all the television anime are available to stream on Crunchyroll.
In this new adventure, fans can once again join Goku and his friends as they embark on exciting journeys and face powerful foes. The Dragon Ball series has been a beloved part of anime culture for decades, and Dragon Ball Daima promises to continue that legacy, offering fresh stories and epic battles that fans have come to love.
