Top 12 Naruto Sensor Type Ninja List – We will be doing a ranking of the Sensor Type Ninja in Naruto. Ranking is done based on feats so, even if a character is a Sensor Type but has little to no feats, they will not be counted. So, let’s get started.
12. Fu Yamanaka
Fu was a shinobi from the Hidden Leaf’s Yamanaka Clan, as well as a high ranking shinobi of the disbanded Anbu faction Root. He was a skilled Sensory Ninja, able to detect that he, Torune and Danzo were still being pursued by Ao. During his and Torune’s battle against Tobi, he could instantly sense when Tobi emerged behind him and without a second thought reacted instantly.
11. Inoichi Yamanaka
Inoichi who is the father of Ino, was also a very skilled Sensory Ninja from the Yamanaka Clan. Using his sensory perception, he could track down targets through by following their chakra trial, as long as their chakra signature stayed the same. Alongside Ao, he could create a wide-ranged detection-type barrier, big enough to cover all battlefields during the Fourth Great Ninja War.
10. Ao
Ao was a former Anbu of the Hidden Mist’s Hunter-nin Corps, and served as the 5th Mizukage’s “Mei Terumi” right hand. He was a highly skilled sensor type shinobi, which allowed him to be appointed as the leader of the Sensor Division during the Fourth Great Ninja War. His sensory perceptions allowed him to pick out the reincarnated shinobi out of thousands of White Zetsu Clones, a feat that his counterparts could not perform. Along with Inoichi, he was able to erect an immense Sensing Barrier, which allowed him to monitor the battle between the Allied Shinobi Forces and the White Zetsu Army. He’s said to be one of the few Sensors who’ve shown the ability to sense Natural Energy.
9. Ino Yamanaka
Ino is without a doubt one of the best Sensors in Konoha, showing immense sensory perceptions from a young age. She’s able to detect changes in another person’s chakra, sense their concious and subconscious thoughts, feelings and emotions, and then connect them to her allies as seen in the war where we saw her literally connecting Naruto’s thoughts and feelings to the rest of the shinobi alliance. Now, she’s even able to instinctively detect a person’s chakra signature without first moulding chakra and since Naruto: The Last Movie, she’s been the leader of Konoha’s Barrier Team.
8. Kabuto Yakushi
Kabuto showed immense sensory perceptions during his battle with Sasuke and Itachi granted by Sage Mode which allows him to sense his surroundings. Being wary of Itachi’s Genjutsu he blocked his eye sight and relied on his Sage Sensing to battle the Uchiha Brothers. The blocking of his eyesight was no hindrance to him whatsoever as he could battle against his opponents as one who is seeing everything clearly. He also used heat detection alongside his Sage Sensing to better locate the presence of Itachi and Sasuke during his battle against them.
7. Nagato Uzumaki
Nagato was also an adept Sensor Type, able to pinpoint the location of others across great distances, even penetrating beyond barriers erected for the express purpose of blocking detection. This is seen when he pinpointed Kabuto’s exact location allowing Itachi to find the latter. He’s also able to sense the buildup or concentration of chakra i.e. he can tell someone is preparing an attack from the chakra that has been concentrated to execute the attack. He also used a contact type sensory technique called Rain Tiger at Will which was the primary reason for the constant rain fall in the Hidden Rain Village. As rain made contact with an intruder, he was able to detect their presence.
6. Minato Namikaze
Minato was also a great sensor, possessing high level sensing in his base form. Just like Tobirama he could detect the presence of anyone around by touching the ground using his finger. He could also distinguish chakra from great distances, capable of Sensing Naruto’s and Kurama’s Chakra and telling that Naruto had gained complete control over the Tailed Beast.
5. Mu
Mu possessed high level sensory perceptions. When he was reanimated by Kabuto in the Fourth Great Ninja War, he displayed the ability to sense chakra over a distance of several kilometres. He could also discern the similarity between chakra signatures belonging to close relatives, and distinguish chakra from different populations. This in conjunction with his quick reflexes, he could avoid techniques that even other Kage found difficult to evade, even from his blind-side as seen when he dodged Naruto’s Rasengan from behind him.
4. Tobirama Senju
Tobirama also displayed high level sensory perceptions in the war an ability he is said to possess since childhood. By touching the ground with his finger, he could accurately detect the presence and location of targets in the surrounding area. In the war, he could sense persons countries away, identity a target’s ancestry from their chakra signature, and even pinpoint the exact location of a target whilst blinded as seen when he sensed Madara’s presence several kilometres away, and also deduced his exact location.
3. Karin Uzumaki
Karin is an incredible Sensor Type Ninja and possesses a unique ability called the Mind’s Eye of the Kagura, which allows her to sense any targets. Unlike most sensors, who normally need to mould chakra beforehand, she can detect chakra targets without any conscious effort. Using this ability, she can also detect the presence of others, easily discerning a specific individual, even its species, from a great distance, letting her easily track the target. She can also determine an individual’s chakra reserves as seen with the Fourth Raikage and can tell how dark or bright one’s chakra is as seen when she determine the differences between Naruto’s and Sasuke’s Chakra. She can also tell if someone is a clone or trapped in Genjutsu.
2. Madara Uchiha
Madara was one of the best sensors in the series, being able to detect others chakra signature countries away, determine a person’s clan and the nature of their Kekkei Genkai, and even differentiate species. His sensory perceptions were such that after his revival and losing his fake Rinnegan, he was able to battle Sage Mode Naruto, Sai, EMS Sasuke whilst blind and still managed to defeat each one of them. He was capable of dodging a Flying Thunder God Slash at point blank range from Tobirama through his own sensing abilities combined with sensing abilities that Sage Mode provides.
1. Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto was no Sensor Type, at least not until he began obtaining his different modes. When he first mastered Sage Mode, he could detect that Kakashi’s chakra signature was missing in Konoha. He will later be able to locate Nagato something not even the sensors in the village could do and in the war was able to know that a war was going on by sensing the entirety of it. Upon obtaining Kyuubi Chakra Mode, he gained a sensing ability no one else had i.e. being able to sense negative emotions which allowed him to distinguish between transformed Zetsu and normal shinobi. Upon obtaining Six Paths Sage Mode his senses were heightened to a level unlike any other. He sensed and fought against Madara’s Limbo Clones from another dimension and escaped from being wraped into another dimension by Kaguya from blindside.
