The Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist was an organisation consisting of only the greatest blade-wielding shinobi of their generation that The Village Hidden in the Mist can produce. So let us count down the list from weakest to strongest.
10. Jinin Akebino
Jinin was the member of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist. He wielded the sword kabutowari a blunt sword that consists of a single sided axe and a hammer joined by a leather strap, which is said to be capable of breaking through any defense. He was capable of using Silent Killing, as seen when fighting the Third Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces while under the effect of his former colleague Zabuza Momochi’s Hiding in Mist Technique.
9. Jinpachi Munashi
Jinpachi was the member of the seven ninja swordsmen and wielded the sword shibuki which he used in conjunction with explosive tags for greater effects. At the fourth great ninja war, he was capable of forcing back three shinobi, who tried to block one of his sword swings, with one hand and without significant effort.
8. Kushimaru Kuriarare
Kushimaru was the member of the seven ninja swordsmen who wielded the sword nuibari. With it, he was not only able to precisely pierce multiple enemies in quick succession, but also stitch them together utilizing a substantial length of wire attacked to the blade. Juzo was the member of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist in his time. He was noted to be among the strongest shinobi to ever emerge from the village, in contention to becoming mizukage. He wielded the sword kubikiribocho, which can regenerate from the iron harvested from its victims’s blood. He was strong enough to dye battlefields red with his foes blood and gained international infamy for it.
5. Fuguki Suikazan
Fuguuki was the member of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist. He wielded the sword samehada, which was noted to be the most frightening of the seven blades, capable of absorbing chakra from his opponents. He could also harden his hair to shoot a multitude of senbon-like hair or extend it to create spear-like hair to pierce multiple opponents simultaneously. Certainly one of the strongest ninja swordsmen to emerge from the mist.
4. Zabuza Momochi
Zabuza was the member of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist. He wielded the sword kubikiribocho. Back in part one he could take on the entire team seven which included kakashi and he proved to be a match for kakashi himself. He was highly proficient in using water release techniques which at one time trapped kakashi in a water prison while simultaneously battling the other team seven members.
3. Chojuro
Chojuro is one of the last generation of the hidden mist seven ninja swordsmen. During the fourth shinobi war, he able to defeat black zetsu while fighting alongside his allies. Years later, his abilities improved immensely as he was promoted to the sixth mizukage. He wields the sword hiramekaei a powerful sword which releases the chakra stored in it and shape weapons, such as an enormous hammer, chakra blades and knifes for offensive purposes.
2. Mangetsu Hozuki
Mangetsu was the member of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist and the strongest of the ninja swordsmen in his time. He was proficient in the use of water release manipulation and can use his clan’s secret technique to liquefy his body at will. His skill, power and chakra were such that he was able to wield all seven blades, including the notoriously picky blade samehada. His recognition of wielding the seven famed swords was further shown from him trusted to carry all them in a scroll until battle.
1. Kisame Hoshigaki
Kisame was the member of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist. Kisame is one of the most powerful shinobi to ever emerge from the mist and being chosen as a member of the akatsuki is proof of this. He wields the sword samehada and is highly proficient in water release techniques. He was strong enough to take on immensely powerful shinobi like killer Bee, Might Guy etc.
